Dual Electronics Corporation 
Marketing Manager

Dual Electronics Corporation is the U.S. based subsidiary of the Namsung Corporation, a public company registered on the Korean Stock Exchange known for providing quality consumer electronics at affordable price points.

 ·         Managed all in-house marketing communications
 
o    Helped to grow the new company into one of the top 10 selling car audio brands in the United States with more than $100 million in annual sales by its fourth year in business
 
o    Worked with an outside advertising agency to create and design the company’s marketing campaigns promoting brand awareness and product “hype”
 
o    Using personal contacts within the industry, I arranged (at zero cost) for Dual’s products to be featured and installed on episodes of MTV’s Pimp My Ride, allowing the company’s products to be placed front-and-center in the public’s eyes
 
o    Completely designed, developed, and maintained the Dual web site
 
o    Coordinated the design and development of product packaging
 
o    Designed and developed the yearly company overview and product trainings
 
o    Presented product technical and sales trainings to retailers, reps, and distributors
 
o    Coordinated and organized Dual’s presence at 40+ trade shows per year including CES, SEMA, MERA Knowledgefest, and Spring Break Nationals

Kenwood is one of Japan's largest and most successful consumer electronics manufacturers featuring a broad range of high-technology home and automotive audio products to include amplifiers, speakers, receivers and CD players.

 ·         Managed the sales training and field marketing for the south eastern United States
 
o    Provided both sales and technical trainings to the territory’s 300+ retailers, sales reps, and distributors
 
o    Developed trainings and new innovative ways to demonstrate products in the field
 
o    Coordinated all shows and events within the territory
·         Managed the introduction and development of new products into the US Market
 
o    Provided American feedback and ideas to the Japanese-based product development team

Sound Advice – N. Palm Beach

 Sound Advice was a highly profitable medium-size chain of audio/video electronics stores with over 25 locations throughout Florida. After being purchased by Tweeter and its subsequent closing, Sound Advice is no longer in business.

General Manager

LS of Palm Beach was a small independent retail storefront located in Lake Worth, FL.

·         Managed all aspects of this retail store’s operations including the hiring and training of personnel, payroll, record-keeping, advertising and marketing, purchasing, and more.
·         After I had increased the store's yearly profit, the NY-based owner decided to sell the business and the new owners chose to manage it themselves.
