I just wanted to know if you had your baby yet....I know your wife was due around now!

Sorry, I got lost for a while there.

My wife and son are doing great! Evan Richard Howell, 11/20/09, 7 lbs ?oz, 21 1/2". He was 4 months last saturday, and is the 75% for weight, length, etc. So far it has been awesome. I can't wait to give him a brother!


So what did you and Brian have? How are you doing? What do the big sisters think?

Oh, I'm so glad you replied! I started worrying that something might have happened. Congratulations on your new baby! He has such a beautiful name, too! I wish I could see pics! How funny that we both had baby boys just 8 days apart (our baby was born 11/12). Brian is thrilled to have a son now...you should see the two of them chillin' on the couch watching basketball together. Oh, and we named him Brian Robert. Nobody is entirely sure what to call him yet....he's called Little Brian, Bobby, O.P. (short for Optimus Prime, which is what the girls named him), Optimus Bob, and LeBrian (ha ha...LeBron). I just call him baby. Which I need to stop doing before I traumatize him for life. The girls like him just fine....especially the youngest. She's his favorite, too. Well I hope you don't stay lost....congrats to you and your wife again!!!!!!!

Congrats! That is awesome that Brian got his son! I don't mean to be sexist but I was pulling for him. That's part of the whole reason I checked the forum. My wife and I were at a parenting group and we were talking about how some couples have kids that are all the same sex. A stat got thrown out that up to the 4th child the sex of the baby is a 50/50 chance, but if you have 4 of the same sex, then 95% of people keep having that same sex. I instantly thought of Brian and wondered if he got his son.

And yeah, thankfully nothing bad happened. By 'lost', I meant I just got lost in all the stuff that has been going on this past year. Between getting the nursery ready(refinishing floors, painting, trim, etc), doing cement work around the house, work, and normal life stuff...then having Evan...I ran out of time for doing much online. We're pretty much back to normal at this point but it was hectic for a while there.

LeBrian, now that's funny! I've been calling our son "Junior" a lot. I know our names aren't the same, but for some reason I just like the sound of it. I guess the hillbilly in me runs deeper than I thought?? If you want to see some pics then just email me @ miaaron@yahoo.com.
